TOMI – EXPERIENCE AT JULIE’S FACTORY IN MALAYSIA
TOMI Company, one of the leading import confectionery distributors in Vietnam, had an unforgettable visit to Julie’s Factory in Malaysia. The factory is known for its delicious and high-quality butter cookies. The trip took place from April 4th to April 7th, 2019, leaving the TOMI team with a memorable experience.
The journey was organized with the participation of our Distribution Partners and TOMI’s employees. The purpose of the trip was to visit, experience, and learn about the history and production process of Julie’s famous butter cookies, as well as other products. Furthermore, the trip also aimed to strengthen the team spirit and cohesion within TOMI.
The itinerary was carefully planned to ensure the best experience. On the first day of arriving in Malaysia, the team took the opportunity to explore and shop at Mitsui Outlet before continuing the journey to Julie’s headquarters, located in Melaka. In the evening, they enjoyed a river cruise on the Melaka River and explored the city’s night life. The day ended with for a well-deserved rest after checking in at the hotel.
On the second day, the team started with a hearty breakfast before heading to the Julie’s Factory. Here, they were introduced to the culture, history, and production process of Julie’s products. They had the chance to tour the factory and observe each step of making the delicious butter cookies. TOMI Team also participated in a Q&A session to share experiences and update current trends with representatives from Julie’s and production experts.
Afterward, the TOMI team continued to explore famous tourist attractions in Melaka, such as Stadthuys, Christ Church, St. John’s Fort, and Nyonya Heritage Museum to shop for amazing local products. In the evening after dinner, the team had the opportunity to visit the Jonker Street Night Market .
On the third day, everyone continued the journey to Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) where they visited famous landmarks such as the National Mosque, Thean Hou Temple, the National Monument, and Independence Square. They then explored KLCC, Kuala Lumpur’s central shopping district. In the evening, TOMI organized an appreciation night to express gratitude and create joyful memories together.
The fourth day marked the end of this memorable trip as TOMI boarded their flight back to Vietnam.
The experiences and knowledge acquired from this trip has undoubtedly helped TOMI to gain competitive advantage. Implementing new trends and improving production processes will enhance the quality of our products and set us apart from competitors.
